If you enjoy creepy yet delicious, make-you-cringe desserts at Halloween time, then these Peanut Butter Fingers are for you! Made with NEW Peter Pan Simply Ground peanut butter, these yummy pretzel treats are sure to spook the Halloween party guests or the kids for their after-school snack!
My kids come home STARVING every day from school. For some reason, their lunch period starts at 10:30 a.m. Crazy! So you can bet they walk in the door and immediately start the search for something to tide their tummies over ’til dinner.
Usually it’s a simple grab-and-go snack, but for the month leading up to Halloween, I enjoy making and surprising them with festive treats and sometimes bone-chilling refreshments. I get a kick out of watching their expressions when I pull out the cute or frightful goodies.
If you can get past the appearance of these non-traditional, quite literal peanut butter fingers, then the experience your taste buds will receive is completely pleasant. I’d even go so far as to say these are gloriously good! The texture is unmatched and the flavor is frightfully delightful!
My secret weapon is the Peter Pan Simply Ground Peanut Butter. It’s the perfect marriage of creamy and slightly crunchy…the best of both worlds. And, I’m fully on board with the fact that it doesn’t contain any artificial flavors, preservatives or colors!
Just look at that spoonful of goodness! Don’t be afraid to stare.
I didn’t even have to stir the stuff after opening the can, and that pretty much never happens! Queue angelic music. Hallelujah!

We’re peanut butter crazy at our house. It’s a staple for my kiddos’ sandwiches and just for a quick, tasty snack with apples! I tend towards crunchy peanut butter and my kids prefer more of the creamy variety, so here we meet in the middle!
I love it when we all win! Because there are plenty of times as a mom when I have to play referee and this, thankfully, does not have to be one of them. 🙂
I easily found this NEW Peter Pan Simply Ground peanut butter on the peanut butter and jelly aisle of my local Walmart.
{HALLOWEEN PEANUT BUTTER FINGERS}
1 stick butter, melted
1 cup Peter Pan Simply Ground peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar (approximately)
Wide Pretzel Sticks
Sliced Almonds
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter, peanut butter and vanilla. Add enough powdered sugar until it forms a stiff but not too crumbly dough. Three cups was just right for me, but you may need to add up to four.
Form finger around each pretzel stick by grabbing a bit of dough and working it with your fingers until it’s evenly distributed and the entire pretzel is covered.
Press an almond slice in the top of each for a fingernail and use a toothpick to carve the knuckles. Repeat for other fingers to fill a platter or tray. Store in the refrigerator, covered, until ready to eat.
I’m thinking I’ll make these again for my hubby’s Halloween work party, where these will have a good chance of winning the spookiest treat award!
Enjoy this head-turning, creepily-exquisite finger food (hee, hee)! It’s sure to be the talk of your spooky event!
