I love summertime, don’t you? It’s so nice having my kids home with me all day. So to celebrate no more school and lots of fun in the sun, I’m sharing this simple, vintage “Hello Summer!” party setup idea. And because a party isn’t a party without favors, I’m also providing an adorable free printable tag to go with a cute OREO favor!
We’ve been having an enjoyable yet busy summer break so far. My kids started swimming lessons last week. We’ve also spent a lot of time at the park, gone on a few picnics, hiked to one of our favorite spots up the mountains, and visited a local museum. Time seems to move in fast motion, no matter what the season. Do you feel the same way?
I’m determined to savor every moment of the coming days and months with my kids. We’re quickly checking off items on our bucket list and having a blast while doing it. I probably won’t get much time to myself, and there are certainly items on the “to do” list that will be put off or go undone, but at least I will be making memories with them. 🙂
One thing’s for sure, though. We’ve definitely been snacking like champs while we’re out and about with these adorable, individual-sized OREO packs! I never leave the house without a little refreshment for the kids, or I pay for it by listening to ceaseless complaints of starvation. 🙂
I thought it would be fun to put together a simple party setup with our favorite snack to kickoff the summertime festivities.
Because I just adore vintage things, and since most kids enjoy pedaling around during the summer, I came up with a theme of old-fashioned bicycles.
I tied in some burlap, and a geometric-patterned cloth. I set out a few milk glasses with chevron-printed paper straws, then displayed a metal bicycle in the background.
Summer equals fun, especially in our household, so I designed a cute printable tag with that in mind, and attached it to individual packs of my family’s favorite cookie, the OREO.
These cute and tasty grab-and-go 2-pack snacks are newly available at your local grocery store and are sold in packages of 18.
I love that they are just the right size for satisfying my sweet tooth craving while I’m running lots of errands. I’ll also be bringing them on our summer car trips and packing them in my kids’ lunches once school is in session again.
