I’m all about simple when it comes to crafting with my kids. Often, they just want to color or make mini story books. They keep occupied sometimes for hours with supplies so simple as crayons and paper. So I designed a fun St. Patrick’s Day basic coloring page that can also act as a slightly more in-depth craft if you’d like.
As you may know, the original Skittles doesn’t come with blue, so I went to a gas station to get the “Wild Berry” kind, which includes blue.

Crayons (optional)
Working one section at a time, put a row of frosting on the top of the rainbow. Push your skittles into the frosting, then continue down the design. My kids learned the meaning of the acronym ROY G BIV, the colors of the rainbow!
If your kids are like my son, they’ll sit on the counter and lick the frosting as they go. 🙂 It’s part of the fun!
Once they’ve added on all the candy rows, they can decorate around the rainbow with crayons. My daughter added a pot of gold on the cloud.
It’d also be really cute to matte and frame this!
